On November 7, 2015, Super typhoon Haiyan struck the southern parts of the Philippines with winds of 195 mph, leaving millions homeless. With limited resources, and the heart of love from our Lord Jesus, we rebuild a small community on the Island of Gibitnil, off northern Cebu. 14 houses and a two community centers were built from Eco-board, with galvanized framing. They used the eco boards for roofing, walling, and for flooring, besides finding use for making tables, kitchens, boats, speaker housing, even fins for the fisherman.
Revisiting the project after 3 years brought tears to my eyes, upon hearing how thankful the people of the community to God and our project to rebuild homes, but also lives, and families.
